Interview with Reubszz
Banna Lane Festival is a not-for-profit public art initiative focused on curating a series of large-scale murals throughout Banna Lane in the CBD of Griffith NSW Australia.
In partnership with Griffith City Council and local business owners, Banna Lane Festival will activate four mural sites in Banna Lane and host a series of activities throughout the week.
The community event on the evening of Saturday 8th May 2021 will celebrate the addition of the artwork to the city’s landscape. The lane will be closed for the celebration with live music; local wine, beer, and food; and children’s activities making it a great night out for the whole family to enjoy.
Reubszz is a Sydney-based artist, originally from New Zealand where he completed his BMA, majoring in painting and illustration. His work consists of large-scale artworks and studio pieces.
Reubszz approaches his work from a realistic standpoint and references his own photographs in his paintings. He loves to explore the relationships between people and also convey issues we all face in our everyday life.
